What a “record-breaking” launch reminded me about marketing

First weekend after the back-to-school return = shock to the system! Apart from the usual early-doors kids’ football (and that gorgeous weather 🙌), I kept plans light. I did, however, carve out a few hours on Saturday to watch Alex Hormozi’s live launch for $100M Money Models (yes, I’ve already pre-ordered).
If you haven’t come across him, Hormozi is a masterclass in marketing. Saturday’s stream was billed everywhere as record-breaking, and the scale/precision of it showed why.
Here’s what struck me:
He made it look easy… but it wasn’t. That launch has been years in the making.
It was meticulously engineered. Offers, bonuses, pacing, social proof, affiliates, audience build—the lot.
It was driven by frameworks and numbers. He knows exactly who’s watching, when they’re hottest, and how to nudge action.
I love marketing—the psychology, the puzzle of it. Anyone who knows me knows I am an avid book reader (usually business type books) —and I aim to read a book a week. I’m halfway through $100M Leads just now; it’s simple, actionable, and full of value. But Saturday was a timely reminder: big wins aren’t luck; they’re logistics.
Too much small-business marketing is still “spray and pray.” The alternative?
Frameworks over flukes. Map the customer journey before you post.
Timing > volume. Hit when attention is highest, not just when you have a spare minute.
Know your numbers. If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.
It was, genuinely, a brilliant live case study in orchestrated demand.
And on the topic of orchestrated demand… when you read this on Tuesday morning, I’ll be getting ready to kick off the first ever session of my SOLD-OUT Group Coaching Programme. I’m so excited to see the transformations—personal and business—that this group of women will create over the next eight weeks.
Because demand was wild, I’ll be running two more cohorts in 2025, so more of you can start 2026 on a firm foundation. As always, places will be limited to 10. Dates coming soon—keep an eye out.
Here’s to thoughtful marketing, steady momentum, and a cracking Q4.
Speak soon,
Cherie
