Want Time Off at Easter Without the Guilt? Read This.

👀 Did you attend the EC Virtual Scaling to 7 Figures Event?

One of the most powerful things Nigel said that hit me was:
“Most business owners are addicted to the struggle.”

And it’s true.
60% of business owners are stuck in – chasing tasks, dealing with drama, reacting instead of leading. And if we’re honest, many have come to accept this as just ‘how it is.’

But let me ask you this —
Did you start your business to feel constantly overwhelmed, or financially stuck?

Or did you start it for freedom, fulfilment, and the chance to create something more?

If you’re stuck in the busy loop, maybe it’s time to take a step back and refocus on the business you actually want to build. It starts with a decision — and some simple systems.

📈 What’s Your Growth Plan? (No, “Work Harder” Doesn’t Count)

We have just finished Quarter 1 of 2025 so let me ask you something —
What’s your actual plan for growing your business over the next 6 months?

Most business owners I work with don’t have one.
They’ve got to-do lists, a full diary, and vague goals like “get more clients”… but no clear roadmap.

And without a plan, growth doesn’t happen — at least not the kind that leads to more profit, more freedom, and more balance.

Instead, they stay stuck in the cycle of feast and famine. Chasing sales. Winging the marketing. Reacting to what’s urgent instead of what’s important.

But when you have a real growth plan —
You know what to focus on each month.
You can track your progress and adjust.
You stop spinning your wheels and start building momentum.

If your current plan is “hope for the best and keep hustling,” it’s time for a smarter way forward.

Here are 3 simple steps to start building a proper growth plan:

 1. Get Clear on Your Numbers
Know how many new customers you need to hit your financial goals — and what that means in leads, conversations, or sales per week.

 2. Map Your Marketing Activity
Plan out the key campaigns and marketing activities you’ll run each month to generate those leads. Be intentional — don’t just post and hope.

 3. Block Time to Work ON the Business
Set aside dedicated weekly time (non-negotiable!) to review, refine, and execute your growth plan — not just client work or admin.

🐣 Are You Ready for Easter Break?

The Easter holidays are just around the corner. Whether you're planning a proper break or just want to enjoy the time with your kids, the real question is:

👉 Do you have systems in place that let your business run without you?

No one wants to be stuck on their phone replying to DMs or chasing payments when they should be hunting Easter eggs or enjoying a coffee in peace.

If you’re not ready to switch off — even for a few days — that’s your sign.
Let’s fix that. You deserve a business that lets you take real time off.

Here are 3 quick steps to get you on the right path:

 1. Automate What You Can
Use scheduling tools for social media, email, and even appointment bookings. Tools like Meta Business Suite, Calendly, and MailerLite can keep your biz ticking while you switch off.

 2. Communicate with Your Clients
Let customers know in advance when you’ll be off — and what to expect. Add an out-of-office responder and consider prepping FAQs or quick-response templates.

 3. Delegate or Delay — But Decide
Identify what must happen while you’re off and what can wait. Delegate tasks where possible, even if it’s just to a virtual assistant for a few hours. For everything else, schedule it after the break.

Remember: you didn’t start your business to feel guilty for wanting time off. The more you systemise, the more freedom you gain.

For those of you who have been around for a while you will know that we recently purchased a caravan in the Lake District and I am looking forward to spending quite a bit of time down there over the coming weeks with our youngest son, hopefully it will be a bit warmer and we can get out and explore the area a little more!

Whatever your plans, I hope you have a wonderful time and lets hope the sun is shining!!
