This week, if I’m honest, I nearly didn’t write this.

This week, if I’m honest, I’ve felt so busy… and a little bit stuck.

You know those weeks where you’re doing all the things, answering all the emails, showing up where you need to show up — but mentally you feel slightly off pace?

That’s been me.

And it got me thinking.

Having been in business for a good number of years now, I’ve had the privilege of watching so many other business owners grow, pivot, succeed, struggle and rebuild.

Sometimes you see someone everywhere — emails, social media, events — and then suddenly… silence.

You realise you haven’t seen their name pop up in a while.

And eventually, maybe months later, they return and reference a difficult time.
A family issue.
Illness.
Burnout.
Overwhelm.
A season that knocked them sideways.

Life is full of moments we cannot predict.

And as business owners, we often go all in.
We sprint.
We push.
We build momentum.

But sometimes it only takes one bump in the road to derail everything.

I’ve seen it.
And if I’m honest, I’ve felt it too at times.

Which is why I believe more than ever that consistency beats intensity.

It’s not about going full throttle and then disappearing.

It’s about doing a little — but doing it regularly.

Sending the email.
Making the call.
Posting the update.
Having the conversation.

Even when you don’t feel particularly inspired.
Even when life feels noisy.

Because small, steady actions compound.

Business is not built in one dramatic burst of energy.
It’s built in the ordinary, sometimes unglamorous, consistent steps.

And when life throws its inevitable curveballs, it’s far easier to recover from a steady walk than from an exhausted sprint.

So if this week feels a bit heavy…
Or you’re not quite firing on all cylinders…

Maybe the answer isn’t to do more.

Maybe it’s to do less — but keep going.

Slow and steady still wins.

Have a good week!

Speak soon,
Cherie
