She thought she had a marketing problem. She didn’t!
Why More Marketing Isn't Always the Answer
One of my clients is a talented graphic designer based in Glasgow. She was constantly posting on social media, attending networking events, and even running occasional ads. Yet, her client bookings remained inconsistent.
Frustrated, she approached me saying, “I think I need to do more marketing.”
But as we delved deeper, it became clear: she didn't have a marketing problem—she had a system problem.
She was engaging in various marketing activities, but without a cohesive strategy or a defined sales funnel. There was no clear path guiding potential clients from initial awareness to booking her services.
We worked together to:
Define her ideal client and tailor her messaging accordingly.
Create a simple, repeatable sales funnel that nurtured leads effectively.
Implement a follow-up system to stay connected with prospects.
Within a few months, Sarah's enquiries became more consistent, and she started booking clients who truly valued her work.
The takeaway? It's not about doing more marketing; it's about doing the right marketing within a structured system.
If this resonates with you, reply to this email with the word “System”, and I'll share a free checklist to help you assess and strengthen your own sales and marketing processes.
Always a Student: Why I'm Investing in My Own Growth
This week, I’m heading to Entrepreneurs Circle HQ for a full day of development and learning — and I couldn't be more excited!
Why? Because business is never stagnant. What got you here won’t get you there. If we want to help our businesses grow, we must never get comfortable — we must keep learning, stretching, and pushing ourselves.
The most successful business owners I know are the ones who are always investing in their knowledge, their skills, and their mindset. They don’t wait until things feel stuck — they stay ahead by being proactive, by learning from others, and by surrounding themselves with fresh ideas.
Growth isn't just for beginners. It’s a lifelong commitment.
If you're serious about achieving bigger goals, making a bigger impact, and building the life and business you truly want, investing in yourself is non-negotiable.
Stay curious. Stay ambitious.
Let’s keep growing — together!
PS: The Entrepreneur Circle HQ has moved to a lovely big new building and I can’t wait to see it!! I will be sure to show you some pics in my next Newsletter.
