Remember your first day at school? Your business needs one too.

Yesterday was the first day back to school for lots of children — and for some, their very first day ever.

There was a real mix of emotions in the air — excitement, anticipation, and a few nerves about going back or stepping into something completely new.

It got me thinking…

As adults, we often design our lives to avoid those feelings.
We can choose not to put ourselves in situations that feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable.
We can make meeting new people, trying new experiences, or going somewhere for the first time optional.

But if you want to run a successful business?
Those things can’t stay optional.

You can’t shy away from what makes you nervous or pushes you just outside your comfort zone — because that’s often where the growth is.

It’s something I see with my clients all the time.
Until they get really clear on their goals, they don’t realise that the discomfort they’re feeling is actually a sign they’re growing.

They say growth never happens in your comfort zone — and I believe that 100%.
