If you want more clarity in your business this year, read this...

I hope you all had a great Christmas — whether you were surrounded by family and friends, or enjoying something a little quieter. Whatever it looked like for you, I hope there was plenty of joy in there.

Mine, as usual, was noisy, boisterous and increasingly competitive once the evening games started 😄
Chaotic, loud, and wonderful all the same.

It’s been really nice to switch off for a few days and just concentrate on family, without the usual work distractions, routines, and mental to-do lists running constantly in the background.

But I always find these days in between Christmas and New Year a little strange.

The days blur into one another, routines soften, and there’s almost a sense of time blindness — like we’re hovering in a pause before normal life kicks back in.

I know that once the schools go back, it will be full steam ahead again. We’re only a few weeks away from the first coaching cohort of 2026, and diaries will suddenly feel very full again.

So I’m using this in-between space intentionally.

Not to plan more things — that work is already done.
My diary is full of certainties: coaching cohorts, holidays, key dates and commitments.

What I’m doing now is something different.

I’m thinking about what I actually want the next 12 months to look like — and what needs to be in place to give that the best possible chance of happening.

And that doesn’t start with looking forward.

It starts with looking back.

Because without taking an honest look at the last 12 months — what worked, what didn’t, what drained us, what quietly moved things forward — we’re very likely to repeat patterns we’ve already outgrown.

Most business owners skip this part.

They jump straight into goals, plans and fresh starts…
without stopping to ask what the last year was really trying to teach them.

As I move into 2026, one thing that matters to me is supporting female business owners at every stage — whether you’re just starting out, finding your feet, or have been running a business for years and want more clarity and confidence in how you move forward.

A few readers have asked if there’s a way to access some of the deeper thinking behind these newsletters — how I approach decisions, boundaries, numbers and building a business that works with your life rather than against it.

So I’ve created a small paid subscription that includes:

  • A weekly deeper written insight

  • A short, monthly practical training video focused on calm, clear decision-making in business

For January, I’m offering this for under £5 per month (usually £7.99) to make it as accessible as possible at the start of the year. To find out more or subscribe click the button below to access a deeper dive and workbook.

There’s absolutely no obligation — it’s simply there if it feels helpful for you. If not you can continue to expect the same twice weekly Behind the Scenes content as before.

If you haven’t done this kind of looking back reflection before, I really encourage you to slow down and give yourself the space to do it properly. Clarity doesn’t come from rushing into the new year.

It comes from understanding the one you’ve just lived.
