🎯 First Day Back After Easter... How Are You Feeling?

Picture of our youngest son running off his energy over Easter when the sun was shining!

Today’s the first day back in the office after the Easter break—and I’ve got to say, I’m actually buzzing to be back at it. I will no doubt be in full “getting ready for school” morning mode when you read this!! However a few days of rest and chocolate-fuelled family time was just what I needed… but now I’m ready to dive back into routine, goals, and growing the businesses I love.

But —how are you feeling?

Excited to get cracking on that big vision?
Or are you staring down your inbox already overwhelmed and wondering where the heck to start?

If you’re anything like the brilliant women I work with, it’s probably a mix of both. You’re passionate, capable, and ambitious… but sometimes it feels like your business is running you, not the other way around.

Today’s a great moment to pause, reset, and ask:
👉 What do I want from this next quarter?
👉 What do I need to stop doing to make space for growth?
👉 Where do I need help to move from busy to better?

Let me know—are you feeling focused and fired up, or a little flustered? Hit reply and tell me where you’re at. I read every message.

If the post-Easter overwhelm is creeping in, here’s your reminder: you don’t need to do all the things today.

Instead, pick just ONE strategic action that will move your business forward—not just keep it ticking over.

Maybe that’s:

âś… Reconnecting with a past client
âś… Mapping out your marketing for the next 30 days
âś… Finally blocking out time each week to work on your business, not just in it

Whatever it is, make it count. Progress doesn’t come from being constantly busy—it comes from doing the right things, consistently.

Freedom-Seeker to Firefighter: The Trap So Many Women Fall Into

I remember chatting with one of my coaching clients a few months back—let’s call her Lisa.

Lisa started her business because she wanted more freedom. She wanted to be there for her kids, work on her own terms, and do work she genuinely loved.

But somewhere along the way, things changed.

She told me:
"I realised the first thing I do every morning is check emails while still in bed. I haven’t had a proper lunch break in weeks. I’m constantly busy, but I’m not moving forward."

Sound familiar?

That’s being stuck in the weeds.
It’s when you spend all your time doing the urgent but never the important.
Answering emails. Chasing invoices. Fixing the website. Updating Instagram.
Day after day. Week after week. Year after year.

It’s how passionate, smart women end up owning a job instead of a business.

But here’s the truth:
If your business only works when you work, you don’t have a business. You have a very demanding job.

Lisa and I worked together to change that.

We stripped back the noise. Installed structure.
We carved out time for her to work ON her business, not just in it.
And in 3 months, she started seeing consistent leads and profit again—without working 14-hour days.

So I want to ask you honestly:
Are you running your business…
…or is your business running you?

If it’s the latter, just hit reply and tell me where your time’s going each week.
I’ll send you a simple tool to help you take back control.

You don’t have to do this alone.
Talk soon,
Cherie
